came down for the weekend on her way to spring break in Florida. My wonderful cousin who goes to school in D.C. I traded my Jeep in and got a really good deal - I couldn't be happier with it! This weekend was amazing! I bought my new car!!! A perfect 2009 white Jetta :swoon: The new car smell is almost enough to make me drool. It has been entirely too long since I've been able to blog! Let's play catch-up, shall we? (I take every chance I get to make a joke or show my overwhelming apathy for our failing economy because I'm SO sick of hearing about it. Gotta stimulate that economy somehow, right?! Now I'm busy conjuring up a weekend plan for girls only! My step dad is going out of town so I'm thinking of taking my mom, aunt and cousins out for some shopping and dinner. My amazing coworker gave me a 20% of coupon that expires tomorrow, so hey, might as well use it! We drag each other down with our shopping habits :-) Grrr! So I'm gonna spend my lunch break looking on American Eagle for some. My mission was a new bathing suit, but it was another one of those "medium too big, small too small" deals. Sleeping over is a big NO-NO for his parents! (Don't even get me started.that's a whole other blog - hehe) Nonetheless it was a fantastic weekend and I am so grateful for the time we get to spend together when he's home.Īfter he left I went shopping at Old Navy because I heard they were having crazy sales - which they were! I got 2 tshirts, 1 dressy shirts, 2 long tank tops, and 2 sundresses for 60 bucks! All very basic stuff, but I needed some summer clothes for sure.

Then we're always up by 8 AM to see each other again. Whenever he's home it seems I get no sleep! We don't leave the other ones house until super late (like 2 or 3 AM) & his parents' house is about 35 minutes from mine. We were both zombies from staying up so late the night before. Then Friday we went out for an amazing date night at Bonefish and Cold Stone for dessert.yum! Then yesterday morning I took him to IHOP (his favorite) for a farewell breakfast. He got in Thursday night after my rehearsal, so we watched some movies and stayed in. Not complaining about the working part - just the missing him part.

Some say that the sensation of 'surfacing' is similar to watching a movie reel burn, whilst being pulled upwards by a hook through the skull.Įvery person one meets in dreaming is either real in the Zeroth, or real in the ! The weekend with the BF seemed to fly by, and here I am back at work. Such factors allow for competition to be swift and lethal between those who would wish to be solitary in their strange and terrible powers. When Deep Dreamers descend, they affect a sort of 'sinkhole' for surrounding minds: sending most into drowsiness, disorientation, microsleep, and inconsistent memory-and allowing other Deep Dreamers to track them on all three known Layers.

The stronger the perception gotten before sleep, the stronger the irregularity that emerges from the primordial unconscious. At usual a session can be three hours before 'surfacing'.Īs well, due to their immersion into this more fundamental plane, any perceptions that would normally result in dreams in the First Layer, result in local alterations in the Second, which carry up to the Zeroth in the form of more sustained irregularities of reality. It is said the Deep Dreamers access the Second Layers in REM sleep, during which the connection between the conscious and subconscious is most direct, and can prolong that state to maximize their time out of the conscious world. Most, if any, only manage to achieve this once before either getting lost in the morass or waking so terrified as to never sleep restfully again-but there are even fewer who take interest in the phenomenon, and cultivate their skill in navigation and pattern-reading. However, through some mechanism of deepmost, base consciousness, a brain can bottom out through their First Layer into the Second, and thus be considered a Deep Dreamer. As it is shallow, however, the change upward is minimal, and not much subjective surrealism gets carried up save for false memories or sensations common to dreaming. Most brains are limited to the First Layer, and thus are Shallow Dreamers in essence, distilling their experiences in the Zeroth Layer into their perception of the First, and thus affecting the First within the little bubble of reality it takes up, and vice versa.

These experiences are typically known as dreams. Within the architecture of dreams and levels of consciousness aforesaid, the interaction of conscious beings themselves is rather one-sided: their brains allow for connection to the Layers, and thus they may manifest themselves in said Layers by connecting conscious and subconscious.
